TierraLinda is ideal for no-activity, rest, relax, do nothing. Do not watch TV, do not use the phone, sit on a bench in the forest and quietly observe and enjoy Nature. Lie on a hammock or on our sandy beach, enjoy the water lilies and the waterfalls, listen and watch the birds and the frogs and please Do nothing.
TierraLinda has a sandy beach facing west, ideal for romantic sunsets. There is also a small island, called Tortuga Island, which can be accessed by row boat and by our new and unique suspension bridge.
Weather permitting, here at TierraLinda we try to have a bonfire going all the time. Just sit, relax and enjoy the smell the wood burning. At night, relax around the bonfire under a fantastic unpolluted sky and a stimulating conversation.

The roads around TierraLinda are lightly traveled and are ideal for bicycling, jogging or walking. Be ready to challenge yourself with the hill above and below TierraLinda. The Rocky Hill.
TierraLinda has her own spring fed pond with Tortuga Island. We have a rowboat that may be used for fishing, exercising, or just for a romantic tour of the pond, discovering the many small and large frogs that live here.
TierraLinda is ideal for youngsters to have a good time. We have the ponds, the waterfalls, the sandy beaches, the frogs, the trails, the bonfires. It is a fun place!
Fishing? You said fishing?. . . then TierraLinda is the place to do it. You see, prior to fishing in TierraLinda, I’ve never caught anything. Well in TierraLinda we guarantee that you will get some of the nicest, healthiest bass, catfish, and blue gills. In TierraLinda we generally do not practice catch and release, unless you happen to catch one of our Albino Catfish or the fish is too small. We prefer that you use the fish for its intended purpose of being a meal… Our Puppies love to eat the blue gills and we hope that you know how to prepare our delicious bass and catfish.
TierraLinda has about two miles of trails for your hiking pleasure. The Mississippi Palisades State Park has also several beautiful trails and is only about 30 minutes drive from TierraLinda. There is also the Schurmeier Forest, 2 miles south of Elizabeth on Reusch Rd.
In TierraLinda one can do cross-country skiing, ice-skating, ice fishing, sledding, etc.
A wide variety of hiking trails exist in Apple River Canyon State Park (north of Highway 20 between Stockton and Warren) and Mississippi Palisades State Park, (on Highway 84, south of Hanover near Savanna).
Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort is only four miles from TierraLinda. Overlooking the Mississippi River, Chestnut Mountain was ranked one of the top three Midwest ski resorts by Windy City Sports readers. A full-service resort with 17 ski runs, 7 acre terrain park, half-pipe, two quad and three triple chairlifts, night skiing. Ski and snowboard lessons, children’s ski & board program. You can rent horses at the Shenandoah Riding Center 815/777-2373 located in The Galena Territory, 200 N. Brodrecht Rd. Galena.
